WORK MECHANISM

Generally HELP NEPAL Network – Nepal invites proposals remaining within the objectives of the Network. The proposals are first screened in Nepal to ensure compliance with the Network’s objectives, the commitment and dedication of those who come up with the proposal. The selected proposals are then forwarded to all the HeNN Project Team, which consults, clarifies confusions and then makes a decision. However, HeNN-Nepal usually exercises the final say as it knows better than any other teams about the actual situation on the ground.

The proposals can also come directly to different Network chapters. However, such proposals are forwarded to HeNN-Nepal for usual scrutiny before taking any decision.

Proposal that lacks local participation will have little chance of success.

HeNN-Nepal is responsible to monitor the work the Network undertakes and it ensure local participation and effective utilisation of the fund. To ensure that every penny donated goes to projects, the administrative costs are sponsored separately.

The Network chapters hold periodic meetings individually and they communicate among each other through email and telephone from time to time. Teleconferences are also held as and when they are deemed necessary.

The individual chapters are responsible to keep their contributors updated about the Network’s activities, however, Network’s main website, www.helpnepal.net is updated from time to time, where one can find most of the relevant details.
