I feel really privileged to be able to help this
young and energetic organization since it began in this part of
the world where I live. My personal feeling is that we need satisfaction
for what we do and be confident with any organization one is involved
with and help as much as your capacity allows you. I am satisfied
with HENN in these regards and therefore decided to contribute towards
the Admin fund. But above all this, it is all my colleagues around
the world who have been working tirelessly to make this organization
alive and especially those who brought about this concept in the
first place - a big thanks.
Thank you all and keep up the good work.
Diana Penny Sherpani
Trustee, Everest Marathon Fund
The aim of the Everest Marathon Fund is to promote
health and education in rural Nepal, which coincides exactly with
the aims of Help Nepal. I hope that this year's small donation of
£500 will be a useful contribution to the Mugu health post.
The Everest Marathon is held every two years and our next race will
be held in November 2005 when we would like to add Help Nepal to
the list of projects which we support regularly.

It has been a pleasure and an inspiration to follow
with much interest and appreciation the noble efforts of Help Nepal
Network over the past few years. The least citizens like me who
care about the promise and destiny of our troubled land could do
is to join in and make what little contribution we can, each in
our own way and through our own means, to strengthen and sustain
these collective endeavours to reach our less privileged compatriots
at a time that couldn't be more urgent and appropriate in our nation's
recent history. Please find enclosed my modest contributions of
Sterling £250.00.

Director, Health Care Nepal
It's clear that you have high standards for your
work and how you utilise the resources you have. Knowing that all
of our donation would go directly to the people and villages you
hare serving made the decision to support HeNN an easy one.

At a time when it seems as if only bad news is
coming from Nepal, it is heart-warming to witness the positive contribution
that is being made by HELP NEPAL.
Dr Panna Thapa
Lecturer, Kathmandu University
Nepal have just posted my contribution to HELP
fund. Since I will be leaving Britain in less than three months
time I thought I would do one-off donation rather than monthly.
BTW, fund raising is one of the most difficult tasks. However, we
need to constantly persuade people and alike with patience. Many
people may not appreciate what you intend to do. But we should not
give up our hope, zeal, enthusiasm, motivation etc. without hampering
our main career.

Please find enclosed a personal cheque for the
sum of £12 for your endeavor. As a frequent visitor to Nepal
and a person with a keen interest in that country’s welfare
and development by its own people I am grateful for the opportunity
to translate thought into fiscal action at this time. I think that
this is a good idea with respect to the slogans that have been adopted
both in Nepal and the rest of the world.

I am greatly inspired by “one pound a month”
program. I believe that Nepalese living abroad have some responsibilities
towards Nepal and should do something on whatever level they can.
Inspired by the program, I am thinking to start “a dollar
a month” program among specially the Nepalese students. There
are about 30 Nepalese students at the University of Bridgeport,
Connecticut, where I study. If we could collect only a dollar every
month that will be about NRs 2,100 every month, which can simply
be used to establish some sort of scholarship for a student in Nepal.
I talked with some of my friends and they are also ready to participate.
I believe this sort of program can be expanded to many universities
across the USA. I also found some of the non-Nepali students willing
to support such program. I am thinking of starting a movement among
Nepalese students abroad.

Congrats for initiating such an organisation. My
salute to every one of you behind this small institution; I wish
this institution will change Nepalese psychology from KE GARNE?
to GARNE! GARNE!! GARNE!!! I think it was long over due. I believe
it will be truly of the Nepalese, for the Nepalese and by the Nepalese.
I am very much interested to join the team. I have also discussed
with other Nepalese here and most of them are interested.

I have been following with much interest about
the postings on HELP NEPAL in Phakera Ke Painchha forum and interest
it generated among Nepalis living abroad. It has been our intention
to let all Nepali know it is a laudable proposition to have a self-reliant
organization built with the support of like-minded Nepalis.

I got to know through my friend Ganesh Thapa in
the UK that, you have taken a step to raise one pound a month for
development works in Nepal. I feel that it’s a great step
you have taken and I must congratulate you all for this idea to
raise money for the noble cause. I am very interested in this and
please send me a brief note, how I can send money for the contribution.
Dwarika Nath Dhungel
Former Secretary Ministry of Water Resources
I am happy to come to know about this program.
Since I am going back [from the USA] to Nepal next Monday, I will
try to be in touch with Mr. Basnet [co-ordinator] in Kathmandu to
find out more about this program.
