Supporting the HELP NEPAL Health Post in Mugu district. The fund-rasing for the health post is still underway.

Helping the construction of Buddha Primary School at Chhampi village in Lalitpur district (£2,250) - 2004.

Helping the construction of the roof of Saraswati Secondary School in Bhaktapur district (£1,200) - 2004.
Education:

Helped construct the Kamala Primary School at Simpani Subedi village in Lamjung district (£2,000) – 2004.

Helped re-construct the collapsed building of Chanaute Primary School in Parwat district (£1,500) – 2003.

Helped build a primary school in Latamatia, Dang district (£1,700) – 2002.

Helped construct a primary school in Bijayanagar, Pyuthan district (£1,200) – 2001.

In collaboration with the Nepali Association in Victoria, Australia, helped construct and stock a library at Sarswati High School in Dunai, Dolpa district (£700) – 2000.
Health:
-
Conducted a massive eye camp in a remote village of Sarlahi disctrict at the cost of £2,200. Nearly 3000 people were screened and nearly 200 had their cataracts removed - 2004.

Helped construct a Health Post at Rara Murma village in Mugu, one of the most remote districts in Nepal. The total cost of the building was estimated at £8,000. The Network provided 50% of the cost, and the remainder was raised by the the Murma Top Youth Club through various other sources. The local community has named the four-bedroom health post after HeNN – 2004.

Funded an Eye Camp at Gundu village in Bhaktapur district in collaboration with B. P. Memorial Ophthalmic Institute (£500) – 2004.

Conducted Hepatitis B vaccination programme in collaboration with Aawhan Samuha, Chabahil, at Kapan village on the outskirts of Kathmandu (£500) – 2003.

Funded an Eye Camp at Kapan village in Kathmandu when 19 eye operations, including cataract removal, were undertaken (£500) – 2002.

Funded Hepatitis B vaccination programme at a school in Pashupati, Kathmandu (£600) – 2001.

Collected medical equipment worth about £1,500 from a hospital in London and arranged its distribution in Nepal – 2001.

Funded a medical team to run a de-worming campaign amongst on of the most disadvantaged communities in Nepal, the Chepangs in Chitwan (£500) – 2000.
Disaster/Emergency Relief:

In collaboration with yeti Nepali Association (UK), which allowed HeNN members to collect donations from attendees at Yeti's annual football tournament held in London in July 2002, the Network helped the flood victims of Khotang district. The support was provided in two phases: in the first phase, HeNN-Nepal purchased medicine, food, clothing and bedding supplies worth £600 for families affected by the flood and in the second phase, the remaining £600 was donated to rebuild the roof and parts of the wall of a school that was severely damaged by a landslide – 2002.

The Network, in collaboration with Sahara Group based in Nepaljung, supported the children affected by the recent violence in the country. The Group is running an orphanage with over 50 children but was in dire need of resources to provide various facilities to them. The Network donated £2,000 to support this noble cause – 2003.
